Almond Bread

Ingredients: (Almond Bread)

3 large eggs — beaten

1/2 Cup sugar

2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 Cup flour — sifted

1/2 Cup chopped blanched almonds

Directions: (Almond Bread)

Add sugar to the beaten eggs and beat until very thick. Add sifted flour with the baking powder. Blend in the chopped almonds and mix well. Place in a greased loaf pan and bake 45 minutes in a pre-heated moderate oven (375 F). Glaze if desired. Glaze: Sift 1-1/2 c. powdered (confectioners’) sugar. Add 2 TBS soft unsalted butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3 TBS light cream and 1/8 tsp. salt. Beat until smooth and creamy. Spread very thin on bread while still ho
